title: it's a GUY thing.
Ed Westwick a poet? seriously? no, i mean, SERIOUSLY?? i guess it's hard for me to believe it because his character on Gossip Girl has stuck on my mind and i've been seeing Chuck Bass and Ed Westwick as one. in terms of personality, i mean. but.. really?? hahaha. sorry, i can't help it.
here is westwick's untitled poem:
Tell me what can you want? You’ve got it all. Things are real in a handshake. Rest my bones these days in a different way.
Cherish the change; it may not stay. I remember your dress, Like dreams when you wake with a sudden start. You’re beside me in the dark, Wrapped in my arms. Love is being entranced in a glance, To muster up courage when you’re flustered, To stumble on the words you prepare. Don’t worry about the money that went down the drain Because the best things in life are free. (Source: TV Watch)
i find it really romantic, however. if i were the girl whom ed westwick dedicated that poem to, OMJ! you won't be able to talk to me for weeks 'cause i'm gonna be totally day- and nightdreaming. haha. honestly though, i still can't get myslef to believe that he is this romantic. a guy can be romantic in other different ways, you know. he could give flowers and chocolates. or stare at your eyes and tell you how lucky he is that you've fallen for him. or buy you the bag you've been wanting to purchase for months but you don't have the money to get it. or surprise you on your birthday when he told you he can't be there 'cause he has an important trip to go to. or play a song on his guitar and sing to you. you know, those kind of normal kilig, romantic stuff.
i've never known a guy who writes love poems... or maybe i do, i just don't know it. i mean, come on! guys who are that sensitive and emotional? they're supposed to be too busy playing basketball, strumming their guitar, hunting for girls, telling jokes, farting on each other's faces to be writing mushy, knee-weakening verses. nah. what the heck? i'm just generalizing.
and as opposed to what i was previously blabbing on, there are actually a lot of boys who are poetic. i mean, there are MUSICIANS, gazillion of them are emerging artists who compose their own great songs. song lyrics are like poems, too, and they're equally full of emotions. the most bad-ass looking, skinny jeans- and eyeliner-wearing guys may be the most sensitive ones of their kind after all.
so a TOAST goes to Ed Westwick and his really beautiful poem and to the men all around the globe who are no longer afraid to show their feelings and wear women's clothes and make-up. although you're becoming in touch with your feminine side, YOU GUYS ROCK THE GIRLS' WORLD. XD
