title: A trip to the Eye Doctor.
My day started pretty well until I had my eyes checked. In the past days, I kept getting mild headaches because my vision of what's 10 meters away is a bit blurry. When I entered the clinic, the doctor was sitting in front of his laptop. He told me to sit down and asked what the problem was so I told him. Then after describing to him what was wrong, he said, "Ahhh. Teka lang ah." It didn't look like he was listening! I looked at him, then at his laptop, then at his cellphone. He was trying to transfer something using Bluetooth. Pfffft. After a minute or two, he asked me to tell him again the problem. While speaking, a familiar BUZZ interrupted me so I looked at his laptop again and saw that he was YM-ing someone. Sacre bleu! For a man in his mid-50's, this guy is technology updated. I was surprised in that way and in this way: ">:O". That smiley is supposed to look like he's irritatingly surprised. Uhhh, anyway, fast forward... After a couple of tests, he told me my eyesight was fine, that he didn't find anything wrong and that the blurriness was only subjective. From what I understood, he thought I was just making it up or that I was just imagining it or something close to that. But, hey, who am I to tell him he's wrong? It's not like I'm the doctor.
In a stupid way, I'm kind of bummed that I won't be sporting a pair of eyeglasses any time soon. Before the consultation, I was already planning what frame to choose, its color, etc. Haha. I forgot how things don't always come true when I imagine or plan them. Dammit! I should've thought of NOT wearing glasses instead so I WILL be wearing one. You get what I mean? Haha. But don't get me wrong, I am very very grateful that I have a perfect eyesight. Actually, I want to keep it that way until I grow old, if that's possible. The previous idea was, like I said, stupid.
Hey, on my way home, something really embarrassing and frustrating happened at the same time. I was in P. Noval and from afar I saw TG walking toward my way. (Damn, the doctor was right, my eyesight is perfectly fine.) So I crossed the street right away so I won't have to stare at his gorgeous eyes again. Hahaha. Apparently, he crossed the street the same moment I did and I tried to look away but those eyes were so magical, they made me look at them in an instant! Curse them! The embarrassing part is that he looked at me for a while, like he thinks I was someone familiar---someone he doesn't know but sees in school often. But the doctor may be right again. Maybe I was just imagining things. Haha!
I know this entry is soooo long but I just wanted to share a trivial realization. Last Sunday, during Mass, a tall man (I couldn't say 'guy' because Tall Guy is a proper noun, for me at least. Hehe.) was sitting several seats in front of us and at first I thought he was TG. But then he looked more like Mr. Stick-O. I'm not exactly sure because all I see was his back and his nape and his head and his ears and his gray shirt... *Dreamy*.. but not his face. Haha. I realized that TG and Stick-O are so much alike! I mean, both are tall, fair-complexioned, handsome (Yihee!) and basketball players. Sa face, there are other similarities. Basta! May hawig! I haven't found out who the guy was so I was juggling between TG and Stick-O. TG? Stick-O? TG? Stick-O? TG? Stick-O? It was a shame that I was thinking of that while the priest was delivering his sermon. Please, don't do the same thing. It's completely inappropriate and I'm sorry. So was it TG or Stick-O? I still DON'T KNOW!!!
OH, YUN LANG. TAPOS NA. Hahahahahaha! Completely insignificant. Tsk tsk. XD

title: WARNING: VERY disturbing. :(
People, brace yourselves!
I am not a huge animal lover, to tell you the truth. We have pets at home but my brothers do all the pet stuff because I'm too lazy to feed and bathe the dogs. But it doesn't mean that I hate animals or that I don't care about them. I care enough to post this video and make EVERYONE aware of the fact that hundreds of animals are killed in order to satisfy the demand for FUR COATS. Coats? How completely senseless! Recently, I've heard from a US entertainment news that Giorgio Armani will include fur coats for children in his Fall Collection this year. Most of his loyal customers are Hollywood stars and when they start to purchase and support this collection, some other people, who are unaware of how serious animal cruelty has become, will follow to do the same. The images of the beaten and blood-drenched animals I've seen on the video will continue to flash on my mind for a long time, but it's better than not having something to remind me to avoid buying anything made from real fur or real leather.
Here is PETA's (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) definitive video on the Fashion Industry:
There is a way you could help stop the killings! Spread the word. Post this video to your blog, your Friendster, Facebook and MySpace accounts, e-mail it to friends, tell the story to your families, friends, co-workers or even to strangers. Ignoring this won't make you cool. Being part of something BIG will.

title: Congratulations, Ateneo!
It was a great season for the Ateneo Blue Eagles. It's sad though that I've never watched any one of their live games this year. To make it fair, I didn't watch ANY game during this season at all. Where did the ultimate UAAP fan go? She's just taking a year off from basketball for now. Hehe. I'm pretty psyched about the ADMU vs. DLSU Game 2 Finals game but I knew I wouldn't be able to get tickets, knowing how the Eagle-Archer fever has gotten everyone in the country so excited, so I watched at home. To tell you the truth, I was bored. It wasn't as exciting as I had expected. First, Jayvee Casio gave a disappointing performance which later ended with him being fouled out. Second, Rico Maierhoffer got ejected for two technical fouls-- one for taunting and the second was for 'flashing the dirty finger to Al Husseini', which I think was completely questionable. Why would a player do that when all eyes and cameras are on him and his team? I think he knew how important that game was and he wasn't going to just ruin it for every Green Archers fan by doing what the referee thought he did. It would've been nice if Rico got to play until the game ended. At least, he would have answered one of the 'what if' questions--What if he wasn't ejected? Would DLSU win the 2nd game? I also think that La Salle didn't do so well on the offense. Casio's shot attempts were flawed and there were moments in the game where La Salle attempted to shoot 4 or 5 times but the ball still wouldn't go in. On the other hand, the Eagles were very consistent. They kept their energy and aggressiveness all throughout. I don't think that the Archers were able to keep up.
I'm just saying that I've seen other Finals games which were better. However, I'm still very happy that the Ateneo won! Kudos to Coach Norman Black. He built a very strong and driven basketball team. For your info, actually, I'm a Blue Eagle fan since I was a high school freshman. That was in 2002, the same year ADMU won the Finals against DLSU and the same year I adopted the name Karen Gonzales because I was so in love with Wesley Gonzales (Ateneo). Hahaha! I love the nickname! I even thought, "If I'm not going to marry Wesley, then I could at least marry a guy whose last name is Gonzales." It is lame but I'm still not giving the idea up. Haha! Even if I'm not studying in the Ateneo, I still cheer for the school! Because in the first place, it was actually the reason why I got so hooked on UAAP basketball.
ONE BIG FIGHT! :D
9:41
I found a picture of Wesley on the internet years ago, I printed it and put it on my wallet so I could stare at him anytime I want. Hahaha! I don't have it anymore because it was crumpled and the color faded but I found it again on the web and thought I could share the memory with you. :P
Mr. Karen Gonzales

Thank you, Joed! Haha. I have no idea why I wanted to know a fictional cat's name. :P

title: guns and Garfield.
my tummy hurts! last night, i've tried to work on getting firm abs by doing the 'abdominal bike'. i hope you know what that is because i'm not very good at explaining how to do stuff. i'm bothered with the fact that my face, my arms and my legs look thin but when you look at my tummy, WOOOOAH! it looks like a 50-year-old man's belly. hahahaha. i've exaggerated a bit but really, it doesn't look like it BELONGS to ME. all the crap i've been eating got stuck in there and they were not proportionately distributed throughout my body. i developed this habit of sitting or lying down right after eating so i guess that explains it. also, i started drinking beer, BUT not as often as you think! you know, just a bottle or two once in three to six months. people say beer makes you gain weight and i did want to gain a few pounds then. apparently, only one portion of my body experienced some obvious results. it's freakin' frustrating! it's not a secret that i'm the laziest person on this planet and yet God has given me another project to work on. i don't want to get fat. i want to be healthy and fit... but i love eating. how can a person eat a lot and not be fat? don't even say the word 'exercise'! huhu. it makes me sad when i remember Garfield, the fat, lazy cat. he reminds me of myself. only, i'm not overweight....yet! ohhhh... huhuhuhu...
well, enough about me, let's talk more about myself. anyway THIS IS THE POINT OF THIS BLOG, right? hahahahaha. you don't have the right to complain. i'm the ONLY diva here. moving on, this morning, we only had our first and second class because the other two professors were out. originally, i was supposed to go straight to the condo but then vincent and genico asked me if i wanted to play COUNTER STRIKE. the computer game full of violence, guns, bombs, blood, terrorists and counter-terrorists and which is completely child inappropriate? yes, that's exactly the game i'm talking about. it had been years since i last played. but i kind of miss it so i agreed to come. we dragged minette with us because i don't want to be the only girl in the bunch. besides, she knows how to play, too. yeaaaaah! girl power! haha. other than the four of us, there were jonathan, arlon and hector. gosh, it was sooo much fun! i can't believe that my testosterone level went to its highest. i think i may have grown more hair on my body than a normal guy should have. haha! getting the chance to play with my few guy clasmmates and being A BOY for a while were great. and the guys weren't even gentlemen. they killed me and minette lots of times, without mercy (in the game, obviously. d-oh. :D)! war means war, i guess. but i put my game face on and showed them that i'm not a sissy. pero namamatay pa rin akoooo! hahaha. hoy, nakakapatay din naman ako noh. kala niyo ah. pasabugan ko kayo ng bomba eh.
it was super duper saya talaga. although i don't think that you're going to see me in front of the computer playing video games for a while. the final exams are in two weeks. i don't want any more things to be distracting me. blogging is a total distraction but waiting for two weeks to post my stories will kill me. also, the way i will write in two weeks won't be as interesting and lively as it is now. rigggghhht??? haha. oh puh-lease. just agree with me.
sigh. break's over. i've got to get back on transfering my ECO notes. then, i also have to catch up on my reading. there are tons of things to do, yet we only have 24 hours in a day.
P.S. just a question, what's the name of that black cat in Cinderella?

title: When opportunity knocks...
for no sensible reason, i have named my crush Mr. Stick-O, or should i say Mr. Stick-Ohhhhh. hahaha! no, he's not TG. and yes, i have other boy toys too. haha. joke! boy toys? marielle, you've been putting too many words in my brain. anyway, i bumped into stick-o a while ago and i tried to suppress my shriek but a sound came out and he was just 10 inches away from me. haha! the shame! i wished i just grabbed my phone and pretended to be busy texting, like what i did when i bumped into TG yesterday. it was very poorly done though. it's toooooooooo obvious that i have a crush on him. gaaaah! XD
in the real and more sensible world, final exams are coming faster than you can say "supercalifrigginlipstickyourexisbonggacious". i want to start studying as early as this week because i have to really improve my grades. sobrang tamad ko kasi from the very beginning of the semester. i want to make up for the lost opportunities. i wish i grabbed them in an instant when i had the chance. nakakaasar talaga. pray for me! yiheee. :D

Have you ever made the first move? nope. i want to but i couldn't.

Would you leave home without your cellphone? yes, unless i intend to go more than 50 meters away from home.
Do you like how you look in photos? no. the camera HATES me.
Haha or lol? haha because it shows more emotion than lol. if something's funny-- haha. something's really funny-- hahaha. if it made you laugh in your seat--hahahahahahahahaha! lol is just lol. boring.

title: ..and i also want flowers and a birthday candle to blow. =)
oh, man. i can't believe i'm turning 19 in FOUR days! it'd be my last year as a teenager. right after that i'm going to be 20, an adult. then after that, the next thing i know, i'm 60-- wrinkled, grumpy, teethless and OLD! gosh, i could still remember the time when i was 4 or 5. i used to play with my brother's robot, the one with a small screen on its chest. man, i loved that toy. also, when i celebrated my 7th birthday, i cried because mommy, my lola, insisted on putting eyeliner on me. i saw myself in the mirror and thought i looked horrible! well, some things haven't changed, i still look hideous wearing eyeliner. 12 years?? had it been that long?
A LOOOOT has changed actually. i never stopped growing. literally. haha. no, seriously. when i look back at the things i did before, the way i talked, the way i looked at things, the stuff i liked and not liked, i realized that i'm a completely different person now. i don't know if it's a good change or a bad one. although, you might be wondering why i still write/blog like a shallow, happy-go-lucky 14-year-old girl. i know, i sometimes ask myself that same question, too. but i guess that the reason is despite what i've gone through ,which made me feel more experienced, stronger and more like an adult, there's always a part of me that'll remain a child forever and ever and ever. i like being a kid. i loved my childhood and i'm afraid that when i grow older, i'll forget how to be one. there's just something about being a kid that's so wonderful. there is always innocence, vulnerability, honesty, free-spirit and fun! and a lot of adults don't have those that's why they're all wrinkled, grumpy and old! haha.
anyyyyway, i only have two wishes this year. one, GOOD HEALTH, not only for me but also for my family. and two, HAPPINESS in all its shapes and sizes.

title: hotness on the hills' new season.
i just finished watching the 1st episode of The Hills season 4 on mtv. i know. drama. but i really look forward to seeing the clothes they're wearing. haha. cute. anyway, i was reading the comments below the video about the episode and the first 10 comments discussed about LO and AUDRINA--whose side the fans are on, etc. i read only two of them and i scrolled down already because i was getting bored. AND THEN, the 11th comment wrote: "Doug is sexy as hell." haha. now that caught my attention. i couldn't agree more. Doug is this new guy Lauren is dating. actually, i think they met in high school and she was his prom date.
fast forward... shhsdhlasuhduwha.... after four years, they bumped into each other and he asked her out on a date. when he picked up lauren and she opened the door, my eyes popped and my jaw dropped. no, not really. haha. i just said, "haaaaaaa!!!!" wehe. it's nice to know that there's other guys who appear on the show. i'm soooooo sick of spencer's face. shaved or unshaved, i hate him. he's disrespectful. i like brody and justin bobby though.
so anyway, i hope doug stays longer on the show so i could wear my "kilig smile" while and after watching. haha.
